Gorgeous 22 mo. old Puggat Boy! in Four Corners, Washington For Sale

This is Bear!! He is such a sweet and loyal boy! We just neutered him in July and now that he is all healed and ready to go, we are beginning the process of screening families who are interested in this awesome guy!
We bought Bear from an experienced reputable breeder in Iowa and he flew here at 8 weeks of age all by his big self (all of 5 lbs) ;-) He has been with us since then and we have used him to sire two litters of Puggat/Bugg's! He made the best daddy and some of the smartest most loyal babies I've ever raised!!
It's important to know that we adore him and will be very selective about where he goes as he is a very special dog! Although I (as the wife/stay at home mom) selfishly want to keep him I know in my heart that it's just not fair to HIM and at the end of the day that is truly all that matters to me/us!
About his bloodlines... Bear came into this world by the mating of a purebred Rat Terrier (Dad) & a purebred Pug (Mom). They are called a "Puggat" and they are fairly new as a hybrid/designer breed.. and are quite popular in the mid west... Honestly, I think they are sought after for several reasons, a few main ones being, because they exhibit the best of both breeds in one dog, because of their size, and because of their awesome health (breathing skin coat eyes snout and structure is all absolutely exceptional (at least Bear's is))! And they are super cute!! This was the first and only Puggat we've owned and he is by far a breed of his own in all the best ways! He is of exceptional health and temperament (if he weren't I wouldn't have used him as a Sire to the two litters he produced) and his personality and disposition is one of a kind and very very special! He was born on December 27th, xxxx. Flew to us on Feb. 17th xxxx. and has been an intricate part of our family from the moment we picked him up at Delta Cargo Facility at SeaTac Airport!
Now that our program is shifting towards French Bulldogs, the Buggs & our sweet Bear, who have been a huge part of our family and who've also produced some awesome babies for some awesome families, now need to be retired out (spay/neutered) and placed in their permanent forever homes where they can belong and be loved on and enjoyed the way they are accustom to! With the transition, I've had to take a good look at the big picture and begin making the hard decision of letting them go so they can have the life they fully deserve and need to be happy and healthy! (Even though if I weren't so in love with them and invested in giving them the world, I'd prob just keep them for myself... because it's so hard to say see ya later... to the ones we absolutely love and who we feel are our four-legged children!) I just can't do that to them!
Bear weighs exactly 20 lbs. He IS already neutered! He is up to date on all his shots (always has been) he was given a full exam prior to surgery and given an exceptional bill of health! He has never had parasites/worms or fleas. Has been treated with Frontline as a flea preventative, thru the late Spring and all Summer. He will come with his Rabies Certificate, health record, a small bag of his food (Acana Wild Prairie) is what he eats (we buy it at the Maple Valley Pet Pros store, it can also be bought online) we want him to stay on Acana as it is an awesome food that over the years of raising puppies and breeding, I have always ended up back to, when trying all the higher end "grain free" dry dog food's that are out there... feel free to ask me more about this, if you want me to explain 'why' :-) He will also come with his blanket and his favorite chew bones! A tube of vitamin gel and a whole lot of awesomeness!!! He is crate trained and will happily sleep rest stay in a crate if you want and he absolutely LOVES sleeping IN bed with is humans! We have done both with him.. usually he sleeps with one of us... He is such a great dog! Super smart... knows some super cool tricks! He tries so hard to please.. that's all he ever wants to do... and because he is such a loyal emotional dog and companion he needs a really hands on loving attentive family who can feed that daily need he truly has! You can just see it in his soft eyes, that he loves you and wants to make you happy! He loves camping hiking playing in the rivers sand banks or rocks on the shore, all outdoors, he is athletic and strong and has great stamina, the boy is super fast and loves to run the yard.. he also enjoys leisurely walks, he is fully leash trained, wears a collar, and wants to sleep on the couch on his blanket next to his humans when they are watching a movie... We have always included him in errands and family activities. He has never missed a family vacay! Whether out camping for the week, four wheeling the Nachees Trail, Fifth Wheel adventures, or meeting new neighbors, friends or dogs at the Home Depot, or Fred Meyer, Pet Pros or Mud Bay! He loves to "go bye bye" or "go for a ride" and is the first to jump in the SUV, car or truck, and sit patiently in the passenger seat, while everyone loads in... He loves wood stoves and fire places... he will lay right by them on the floor and bask in their warmth. He also loves lounging in the sunshine on hot days! He is extremely socialized and well rounded and adjusted to life as a companion is fully house broken and really playful with other dogs! He wouldn't hurt a fly or bunny! He may chase the fly and mouth at it around the house for fun or chase the bunny across the yard but it's all in play... he is so sweet and kind! He has a gentle spirit and soft heart that needs to be cherished, treasured and protected for his whole life! I wouldn't be surprised if Bear lived to be 17 or 18 yrs old! As the hybrids tend to live longer anyway and this mix is awesome for health! If you feed him well and always make sure he is safe, this boy will be around for a long time! Bear is truly an awesome dog and a one of a kind and is one of the easiest pups I've ever owned! He's ready now, for his new awesome family to scoop him up and take him home! Oh and his 2nd Birthday is right around the corner!!! He would do well as an only pup child OR with a house that already has other pups or cats... (we don't own any cats BUT our neighbors do and he could care less about them! Never bothers them or has any issue with them in his yard) He would also be find in an apartment condo or town home, or on a farm, or acreage like we have... either way, he will be happy.. as long as you love him and will let him know he matters.. that's all he wants and needs! And if you are willing to bring him places, like on errands (actually put him IN the cart) or walk him on a leash... like a service dog... THAT's what Bear loves best for his days... I swear HE IS HALF HUMAN! :-)
It's taken me a long time (several months) to write this ad and like I said at the beginning, we want the best for our sweet boy, Bear, and I know in my heart there is a perfect family for him out there, and I pray they find their way to him/us!
